Meet the Motivators Presents a Weekend of Supporting Resilient Women

The two-day symposium features workshops, expert panels, and an exclusive fireside chat and  show stopping performance from Canada’s R&B Queen Jully Black

April 24, 2023 (Toronto, ON) - Meet the Motivators Inc. is celebrating eight years of educating, inspiring and empowering young girls and women into positions of leadership with their Meet the Motivators - Resilient Woman two-day symposium on Saturday May 20th, at Algoma University, 24 Queen S East, Brampton from 10am to 6pm and Sunday May 21st at Taj Banquet Hall, 4611 Steeles Avenue West North York from 1pm to 9pm. 

“This year’s installment offers a life changing, transformative and unforgettable experience as we pay tribute to ‘The Resilient Woman,’ a two-day symposium that will deliver valuable skills, insights, and connections to help guarantee you thrive in your personal and professional life,” explains Jacqueline Dixon, founder of Meet the Motivators. 

Meet The Motivators is in support of The Resilient Woman Program, a monthly mastermind workshop created to develop female leaders within grassroots communities who have experienced trauma relating from physical, mental, emotional and financial hardship due to circumstances beyond their control.  The weekend wraps up with an exclusive fireside chat and a performance from the phenomenal Jully Black. The outspoken social justice advocate will discuss her career, music, fitness, and the motivation behind changing the Canadian Anthem.

Day 1 of the symposium will feature a special presentation by Tonya Williams, Founder and Executive Director of Reelworld Screen Institute and Reelworld Foundation and International Motivational Speaker The Unstoppable Tracy Schmitt followed by nine interactive workshops hosted by expert facilitators covering topics such as building self-esteem and confidence, financial literacy, leadership skills, career development, mental wellness, technology, and skilled trades.

Day 1 Workshops:

Day 2 features high-level panel discussions with women leaders in politics, media, social impact, diversity & inclusion, business, and entrepreneurship. Here are the high-level panels:

  • Cancer Cures or Killer - featuring Professor Juliet Daniel, Associate Dean of Research at McMaster University. 

  • Resilient Women - featuring the #1 international motivational speaker and best-selling author, The Unstoppable Tracy Schmitt. 

  • Surviving Narcissism - featuring expert psychotherapist, Dr. Vidoll Regisford and women who have escaped narcissistic relationships.

  • Women in Media - featuring radio personality, Red from FLOW 98.7FM and Emmy award-winning TV personality, Patricia Jaggernauth.

  • Women in Leadership - featuring the first Black woman elected in parliament, the Honourable Dr. Jean Augustine.

“Our panelists and speakers will ensure you walk away with practical tips, strategies, and insights for success, as well as a sense of community and empowerment. You will be inspired by the stories of resilience from women who have made it to the top and learn from their experiences,” promises Dixon. 

Flow 98.7 FM will be live on location on Day 1 in the morning, and complete Day 2 with a FLOW Dance Party following the Jully Black’s performance.
