Media Consultant Fennella Bruce is a veteran News Producer who worked in the field of journalism for more than 20 years as a producer and senior writer at several major market television stations including: CTV News Channel, CityNews, Breakfast Television, CityOnline, CTV Your Morning, Toronto 1, CTV National News, BET News, CTV Canada AM and CP24.
FKB Media Solutions has taken the public relations lead in numerous campaigns and charitable fundraisers that have exceeded monetary goals.
Fennella is the recipient of the 2025 Media Award presented by the International Women Achievers Awards; the 2024 ReelWorld Visionary Award; the 2024 University of Toronto Scarborough Inclusive Excellence Alumni Award; the 2023 International Association of Business Communicators-Toronto Rogers Communicator of the Year Award and she was the 2022 Businesswoman of the Year presented by the Women Empowerment Awards. Fennella has been recognized for demonstrating leadership and communications excellence through her ongoing work boosting the voices of Black and diverse professionals in the media.
Our Founder
Her community work includes former Chair of the Foundation Board of Women in Film and Television-Toronto, Board of Directors of the Canadian Academy, former Vice-President of the Board of Dr. Roz's Healing Place, Member of the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, former Board Member of Tropicana Community Services, Former President of the Canadian Association of Black Journalists, and former Member of the Sheridan College Advisory Board for Journalism.
In 2020, Fennella was a recipient of the 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women Award.
She has served as a juror for the Canadian Screen Awards, the Junos and the New York Film Festivals International TV Awards. Fennella taught Media Literacy for six years at Centennial College and has mentored numerous journalism students.

Presented by the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC), this award recognizes an alumnus who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and who has made significant contributions to fostering inclusive excellence in their professional and community work.
