Lee-Anne Lyon Bartley prides herself in being passionate about safety and sharing her passion with others. Lovingly known as Canada’s Safety Diva, Lee-Anne is currently the Executive Vice President of Health, Safety, Sustainability, Quality and community at Dexterra Group, a leading integrated facilities management, workforce accommodations, forestry and modular building service provider.
As the Executive Vice President at Dexterra Group, Lee-Anne leads a team of professionals who are passionate about creating safe, healthy, and sustainable workplaces for clients and employees. Lee-Anne has over 20 years of experience in the field of occupational health and safety, food safety, quality, and management systems and is currently serving a three-year appointment on the Prevention Council of Ontario.
In addition to her professional experience, Lee-Anne dedicates her time to volunteering for various organizations, including Workplace Safety Prevention Services on their Commercial Industrial Services Advisory Committee, and Toronto Metropolitan University’s School of Occupational and Public Health OHS program advisory, and more. Lee-Anne is also involved with charities dedicated to health and safety awareness and empowerment, such as My Safe Work and the Threads of Life Toronto Planning Committee. She sponsors the “Safety Diva Canada Award”, a scholarship for a student pursuing their studies in occupational health, safety, public health or music.
Lee-Anne’s mission is to be a change agent and a role model for others who want to make a positive impact in their fields and communities.
Lee-Anne has been awarded and recognized for her impact with the following awards; the 2022 BGIS Canada’s Safest Employer, and consecutively won the Top Woman in Safety from 2021 to 2023 by Canadian Occupational Safety Magazine. Under Lee-Anne’s leadership as Vice President of Health & Safety in 2019, Dexterra was awarded Canada’s Safest Employer Gold Award for young worker safety, and Lee-Anne was awarded the Women in EHS award.
Lee-Anne is a seasoned public speaker and media expert. In addition to speaking at several conferences, she has been interviewed by CP24, CTV News, Breakfast Television, Global News Weekend, and was a regular guest on Season 2 of the nationally televised Steven and Chris Show on CBC highlighting simple safety tips at home.
